VCs can add value to their portfolio companies in a multitude of ways. Portfolio management encompasses the way in which VCs offer value beyond the capital that they provide, and this value-add is often as impactful as the monetary injections.
Our job as a VC is, in essence, helping founders and CEOs build a great business, be there for them as a sparringspartner, confidante, and early warning sign amongst other things.
